Contributing to DevUtility Project

Thank you for your interest in contributing!

🔒 Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Before we can accept your contributions, you need to sign our CLA:

For Individual Contributors

Please review and sign our Individual CLA.

For Corporate Contributors

If you're contributing on behalf of your company, please use our Corporate CLA.

Why We Require a CLA

DevUtility uses a dual-licensing model:

  • GPL-3.0: Free for open source projects
  • Commercial License: Available for businesses and proprietary projects

The CLA allows AprilNEA LLC to:

  • Maintain both licensing options legally
  • Provide commercial licenses to businesses
  • Ensure project sustainability and ongoing development

✅ How to Sign the CLA

Automated Process (Recommended)

  1. Create a pull request
  2. Our CLA bot will comment with signing instructions
  3. Follow the prompts to sign electronically

Manual Process

  1. Download the appropriate CLA form
  2. Fill out and sign the form
  3. Email the signed form to: admin@aprilnea.com

Contribution Process

  1. Fork the repository
  2. Create a feature branch
  3. Make your changes
  4. Sign the CLA (if not already done)
  5. Submit a pull request
