Basically IHostApplicationBuilder instead of IHostBuilder is what v2 does. Any plans for supporting this new model?

Hi @christophwille. Yes, we want to do this, and it is on the roadmap. The reason this has been delayed as there will be the need to support both v1 and v2 side-by-side; versus, simply uplifting UnitTestEx.Azure.Functions from v1 to v2 (breaking old) - a much bigger effort. The first part of this was completed in v5.0.0 separating Azure.Functions into its own assembly recognizing the future need. Basically, time is needed to work through the best approach and then implement.

Yes, having a V1-supporting package and V2-supporting package will be needed for quite some time (as V2 is very new).
