VP6670 Heads Compatibility Inquiry

Hello Dasharo Supporters

I'm writing to inquire about Heads compatibility for my Protectli VP6670 device.

Current Setup:

• Device: Protectli VP6670 (Intel Whiskey Lake, Core i7-8565U)
• Current Firmware: Dasharo/oreboot
• Goal: Install Heads as the payload

Questions:

1. Is there an official pre-built Dasharo image with Heads payload for VP6670?
2. If not, are there any known compatibility issues with VP6670 + Heads?
3. Could you share any build configurations or documentation for VP6670 Heads payload?
4. Are there any planned official Heads images for VP6670?

I'm willing to test builds if you need community testing assistance.

Heads as a payload for Protectli platforms is not something supported by Dasharo
or Protectli. You may try requesting at Protectli directly. If there is enough of demand
from end-users, maybe it will be something to consider in the future.

2. Such build probably does not exist. We are not aware of issues then.
3. I think you should head to the heads project to learn how to port it: https://osresearch.net/Porting/

I am also not aware of any heads configs for VP4670 for heads. If there are, they are
not coming from Dasharo. Unfortunately, VP6670 is also "similar" to VP4670 mostly
by the external look. The internals (especially the CPU) are different enough.

P.S. posting the same question via different support channels in a very short period of time is not great.

oreboot is a real thing. But there is no Dasharo release based on it.

But, either case, id really love to get Heads installed on my coreboot and my device is VP6670
do you think there will be some compatibility and alignments ?
