It's possible (probable?) that some of the utility stuff in pynetworktables2js could be extracted and put into FRCDashboard instead, and pynetworktables2js could advocate people to use this. My only question would be (as I haven't tried your system) how easy is it to mix and match pieces? One of the nice things about the pynetworktables2js utility functions is that they're always there, so you don't have to worry about adding them.
