Clarification request: Why is FreeTube asking for permission to access my local network?

While using FreeTube today, I randomly got this pop up:

Why does FreeTube ask for permission to access my local network? Or is this a false positive? What also irritated me was that this was coming up in the middle of a video, so not at the start of the app but while I was using it for half an hour already.

Technical details:

• FreeTube Version: Latest (Version 0.23.5 (0.23.5))
• macOS Version: Latest (macOS 15.5)
• MacBook Pro
• No VPN active
• Little Snitch network monitor & filter running
