Age-restricted videos cannot be watched with FreeTube as they require Google login and using an age-verified YouTube account

I get this error in Freetube when attempting to watch a video:

"Age-restricted videos cannot be watched with FreeTube as they require Google login and using an age-verified YouTube account."

I've never encountered it before and thought it might need attention. Please reply with suggested remedy.
