Pasting verification code no longer fires automatic login

Describe the bug

In the past, copying and pasting the verification code into the presented verification field would auto submit the request, allowing the user to login. Now, the Verify button is greyed out. After pasting, user has to delete the last digit, put it in manually, and it then fires off.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to login on website
2. login with username and pass
3. Copy verification code from received email
4. Paste into website
5. Verify button stays grey
6. Delete the last number
7. Reenter the number manually
8. Login starts automatically

I was able to resolve the issue by using this as a plugin-mu:

Hi @fredster1 — thanks for opening this! I can confirm this on 0.16:

1. Received the code 45117536 by email
2. Pasted it into the 2FA field → "ERROR: Invalid verification code."
3. Typed it in manually (a space is inserted automatically) → worked as expected

So the field seems to auto-format the code as you type, and pasting bypasses that formatting — which would explain both the invalid-code error and the greyed-out Verify button in your report.

One thing still missing: the mu-plugin snippet didn't come through — your report ends at "I was able to resolve the issue by using this as a plugin-mu:". Could you paste it in a code block? Seeing what it patches would help confirm the cause.
