Unable to achieve deferred state after upgrading airflow to 3.0.2 from 2.10.4

Earlier I was using airflow 2.10.4,
I was using AwaitMessageTriggerFunctionSensor to consume messages from kafka, where my task was in deferred state until a new message is consumed.

After I upgraded airflow version to 3.0.2, I am unable to achieve deferred state. It is always in running/queued state. I am unable to achieve deferred state.
Please help me with it.
Also when I checked triggerer logs, I am always getting "0 triggers currently running".
Please help me proceed ahead.

Did you try 3.0.6 (which has few hundred bugs fixed since 3.0.2) ? What results you see there?

And I recommend (if you need help) analysis and providing logs and screenshots what you see usually increases probability that you will get help, rather than generic advice "upgrade to latest version".
