Desktop Mode- can change variables from default, but will not change back

In Desktop Mode, changing a variable from the default seems to always work, but changing it back in the add-on interface will not actually change it, still unchanged after a restart. The config.json shows no change. Changing multiple variables at once can sometimes get them all to change successfully, but this is inconsistent, and I haven't found a pattern. The only sure way is to delete the config.json and start over.

Any theme I may test it and check?

I began migrating my theme from ThemeModifier to Theme Options, and I ran into this issue while testing that. It's on every desktop and full screen theme I've tested, so far PS5reborn, eMixedNiteMC, and Aniki ReMake.

Example: In Theme Options, Select Aniki Remake, check box for "Enable platform banner on game covers"(default is unchecked), close Theme Options, re-open Theme Options, un-check box(set back to default), close and re-open Theme Options, box is still unchecked, but the variable hasn't changed back to default. Restart Playnite, open Theme Options, and the box is actually still checked.
