If it cannot be clearly resolved, switching libraries is useless to me. Another important point is that AWS IoT device SDK Swift is currently in the DEVELOPER PREVIEW stage and cannot meet the requirements for online release versions. So I still hope to solve the problem in aws-sdk-ios.

@G279zhu You would have to ask the IoT Swift team that question. Its a completely new SDK written from the ground up and should be tackling all the use cases correctly. This SDK is now considered a legacy SDK and has been replaced by AWS SDK for Swift. The IoT component provided is also a direct replacement.

There have been various attempts to fix the issue and one such attempt is in the draft PR: #5550.

You are welcome to contribute and fix the issue.

There are no plans to merge this at the moment, I would suggest to fork and try out the fix.

@G279zhu That is why I urge you to try out the new SDK and work with the IoT SDK team to find a roadmap for GA. To fix this issue, the repo needs to go through a architectural shift and needs a complete rewrite and unfortunately that is not the priority right now.
