3.1.7 (?) update removed user overrides from hypland.conf

What's wrong?

~/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf has the following at the end of the file:

# Add any other personal Hyprland configuration below
# windowrule = workspace 5, class:qemu

I had the following there:

source = ~/.config/hypr/user_overrides.conf

sourcing my own overrides. Looks like today's update removed this line.

user overrides should be kept intact

Anytime there are migrations that touch user configs, there's a prompt to accept that update and a backup is made. Your old one should be sitting at ~/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf.bak.{timestamp}

That is not a way to do it. I know backups are created. But you're basically breaking user overrides every time and make the user do additional manual work of hunting down what broke, and why.

You're telling the user "hey, here's the place to put your own configs", and then wipe this on update. Often even during very minor updates.

Additionally, perhaps the files in ~./config should not even be overwritten on updates as they are explicitly for the user to tinker with?
