Error: default OCI runtime "crun" not found: invalid argument

Hi,
After installation on Linux (Fedora 40 WS), I got an error trying to list :

$ ramalama list
Error: default OCI runtime "crun" not found: invalid argument

$ LC_ALL=C sudo dnf install crun
Last metadata expiration check: 0:52:57 ago on Fri Aug 23 20:07:47 2024.
Package crun-1.15-1.fc40.x86_64 is already installed.
Dependencies resolved.
Nothing to do.
Complete!

Huh interesting, this may be a podman issue...

Could you run:

ramalama --dryrun list

so we can see what command it's trying to run

It seems it needs to have a previous run without any argument:

$ ramalama 
Trying to pull quay.io/ramalama/ramalama:latest...

Now, it works:

$ ramalama list

Well, still empty. Thus I guess, it is more a documentation issue. I did not see I need to run ramalama first, then ramalama list after.

As requested:

$ ramalama --dryrun list

It's not a documentation issue fwiw, podman run shouldn't have failed like that. It is strange it didn't seem to find crun runtime

The issue was the podman installation for some reason did not pull in crun, which I have never seen before. Very strange. Do you have runc installed?

$ rpm -q podman --requires | grep -i containers
containers-common-extra >= 5:0.58.0-1
$ rpm -q containers-common-extra --requires  | grep oci
oci-runtime
$ rpm -q containers-common-extra --recommends  | grep crun
crun
$ rpm -q crun --provides | grep oci
oci-runtime
oci-runtime

Have you updated the version of RamaLama?

If you run

podman run fedora echo hi

Does this blow up?
