Opera: Can't type '(', '"', or '!'

In the Opera browser (tested 11 and 12), it is impossible to type the open parenthesis, quotation mark, and exclamation point characters.

Interesting Bug. How could that happen? Maybe a bug in the auto completing library (I admit to using a unmaintained jQuery plugin) because little other things do anything with keyboard events.

Your guess is as good as mine. There may be more characters that get eating, but those jumped out at me.
