Bug description

Cannot enable wifi hotspot. If mobile data and Wifi are turned off, i can enable the hotspot but of course there will be no Internet

Steps to reproduce

Step 1. Go to settings
Step 2. Go to Network and Internet
Step 3. Go to Hotspot and tethering
Step 4. Click Wi-Fi Hostpsot button. it will immediately go back to disable

I have rebooted a few times, reset the network, disable tethering hardware acceleration and plane mode but the issue persisted

Relevant log (logcat/build log)

### **Turning of wifi and mobile data will allow to enable hotspot but when wifi and mobile data are turned on again, the hotspot will turned off**

On my device, turning on Wi-Fi and hotspot together does not immediately disable the hotspot. The hotspot only turns off when connecting to a Wi-Fi network or enabling mobile data.

There's not such behaviour on latest alioth build (06.02). Tested and all ok.
Suggest to clean flash and use appropriate gapps.

I reflashed the current build (dirty flash, same version) and the issue is now gone on my side. In my case, it was likely caused by a custom kernel that didn’t play well with the update. After reflashing and using the stock kernel that comes with the ROM, everything works as expected.
So for anyone else facing this, try reflashing the ROM and/or switching back to the stock kernel before doing a clean flash.
Huge thanks to @raystef66 for the quick check, always great to have maintainers who are so responsive. And thanks to the entire crDroid team for the fantastic ROM. 🙏

Hi, I am new here but where do I get the current build? Is this the alioth build (06.02) mentioned above?
Where do I get the stock kernel that comes with the ROM? is this referring to the boot.img and related files?

I merely just made clear my roms for F3 (Alioth) are working fine on hotspot. (bcs @HeySiMoon assumed he had the same issue on Alioth which it didn't bcs of custom kernel)
