🧱 EPIC 1: App Setup & Profile Management

🧑‍💼 User Stories

  • [US1.1] As a user, I want to install and launch the app with a clean interface so that I can begin using it right away.
  • [US1.2] As a user, I want to create a basic profile with my name, role, company, and social links, so that others can discover me.
  • [US1.3] As a user, I want my profile data to be saved securely on my device so that I don’t have to re-enter it every time.

📡 EPIC 2: Bluetooth Discovery Engine

🧑‍💼 User Stories

  • [US2.1] As a user, I want my device to broadcast my encoded profile using Bluetooth so others nearby can detect me.
  • [US2.2] As a user, I want to scan for nearby users broadcasting their profiles so I can see who’s nearby.
  • [US2.3] As a user, I want the app to automatically expire peers from the list after a short timeout so I only see who’s currently around.
  • [US2.4] As a user, I want a clear button to start and stop peer discovery sessions so I have control over visibility.

  • [US3.1] As a user, I want to see a live-updating list of discovered people nearby with names, roles, and companies.
  • [US3.2] As a user, I want to tap a profile to view more details and copy contact information to my clipboard.
  • [US3.3] As a user, I want the app to display placeholder avatars and social info (if available) for a richer UI experience.

⚙️ EPIC 4: Settings & Preferences

  • [US4.1] As a user, I want to turn advertising on/off to manage when I’m visible.
  • [US4.2] As a user, I want to change scanning intervals to balance speed and battery use.
  • [US4.3] As a user, I want to enable a privacy mode to disable all peer visibility when desired.

🚀 EPIC 5: Stretch Goals (v1.1+)

🧑‍💼 User Stories

  • [US5.1] As a user, I want to share my profile via QR code so others can add me instantly.
  • [US5.2] As a user, I want to sort nearby users by signal strength so I know who is closest.
  • [US5.3] As a user, I want to add interest tags to my profile and filter nearby users by shared interests.
  • [US5.4] As a user, I want to view a log of people I’ve interacted with so I can follow up later.
  • [US5.5] As a user, I want to see conversation starter prompts based on shared tags or roles so I can break the ice.
  • [US5.6] As a user, I want to join an event room using a session code so I only see people from that room.

✅ MVP Definition of Done

  • BLE Advertising and Scanning fully functional
  • Local Profile and Settings saved persistently
  • Peer list updates live and expires old entries
  • Discovery session can be toggled on/off
  • Basic UI for list + profile detail works
  • Code is tested on at least 1 Android and 1 iOS device
