virtual-device-connection redundant/secondary to another virtual device

Would be nice if the virtual-device-connnection supported connecting to a different origin device than the primary.

This seems possible with cloud-router-connection.

e.g.
zside_sec_vd_uuid

this is also possible through the portal (screenshot attached)
