Hi, If you log out, you can go through the reset password workflow by clicking "Forgot your password?". If you don't have an SMTP server setup with Pangolin, the reset code will be logged in the server logs. 
If the account for which you've forgot the password is the server admin account (same credentials you entered when setting up via the installer), then you can see your password in the Hope that helps! |

@miloschwartz I really appreciate You taking time to answer! Yeah I found the creds in the config file. I want to implement pangolin in a scenario where IP Cameras on sites nationwide have to be monitored and the connectivity between the main server which hosts the recording software and the different sites is granted & secured. Again, Many thanks for Your amazing work! |

That sounds like a very cool use case for Pangolin! I think what you're describing is supported by the recent addition of access control rules included in 1.0.0-beta.13. You could create rules to block all IPs and only allow a subset of IPs. There is some more info discussed in this thread. We hope to polish the access control more as Pangolin matures, but hopefully this initial implementation would work for your use case. |

Hi, I had deleted my earlier comment to try to avoid confusing topics. I uncovered a bug not so much just with Pangolin but seemingly with Linux or at least Gnome terminal. It is using ! N (exclamation then capital N) in a password. Pangolin initial setup will let you do it but the password will never work. If you try using the pangolin CLI, you cannot set a password with those 2 characters together in that order. I forget the error but it is essentially gnome terminal saying "cannot compute". I later found browser address bars do strange things if you enter just exclamation and then 1 letter, such as N. Give it a try. I was able to set another password using pangolin CLI and have it setup successfully, thanks! |
