How to use floating labels?

That is strictly a user preference styling, I certainly won't add any such styling in the library (I don't want that styling myself). You should add that yourself, maybe something like this:

I understand that it's not part of your library. I am just trying to incorporate this but cannot because original select is hidden. I will try to post example tomorrow

If you use the lib by providing a <select> with multiple options, then it gets transformed into a <ul> list with <li> items, that is what you need to style. It keeps select as hidden just for references but that is not what is displayed in the UI (in fact if you provide the list via the data option, then there's no select list created, just the ul>li)
