Background

Alloy can write OTel data to S3; it makes sense to close the loop by having a component that can also read from S3. Together with the relevant Kafka components, it enhances Alloy's positioning as a tool for data non-synchronous data collection and handling

Proposal

The proposal is to wrap the upstream component with an otelcol.receiver.awss3 component
