Adding authentication to mimir (basic auth, x-scope-orgid, bearer token)

I am trying to add auth to mimir using various methods basic auth, x-scope-orgid, bearer token. In other Grafana services I have seen adding credentials directly on the config. But this requires a secret file. What is the format of the secret file? I couldn't find a reference for this in docs.
