Problem

We pretty much only do websockets and there is a need to support HTTP RPC as well. Spend some time thinking if we can expand the websocket API to also do HTTP. While thinking about that come up with a way to make this generic so that we don't have to continue to write all this boiler plate switch/call stuff.
