Does this program work on OSX? It compiled fine, but when I ran it there was no log produced.

I have not tried this on mac.

at least, you should use LD_PRELOAD equivalent on Mac. https://blogs.oracle.com/DatabaseEmporium/entry/where_is_ld_preload_under
(a bit old post; not sure if this works now.)
