Plugin dependency injection

Is there a way to inject in a plugin constructor, a class provided by core-app ?

In fact I would like:

Have an abstract class

export declare abstract class IPluginComponent {
    abstract methodDeclaredInCoreApp(first: String, last: String): String;
    abstract anotherMethod(): any;
}

My plugin component which use the interface

constructor(private srvInterface: IPluginComponent) { }

  public onSubmit() {
        this.result = this.srvInterface.methodDeclaredInCoreApp(this.first, this.last);
  }

And in the coreApp realize the IPluginComponent implementation

export class PluginInterface implements IPluginComponent {
    methodDeclaredInCoreApp(first: String, last: String): String {
        return first + ' @ ' + last;
    }    
    
    anotherMethod(): any {
        return 42;
    }    

}

Finally I've make some tries but it fails at runtime on

// compile module
const moduleFactory = await this._compiler.compileModuleAsync<any>(module["PluginAModule"]);

My console error :
Error: Can't resolve all parameters for PluginAComponent: (?).

I don't know to be a method to do that, I didn't tried doing that, though I wouldn't recommend that since the plugins will become very dependent of your core app.

If you are concerned about duplicating code on each plugins I suggest building a npm library for the duplicating code and install it on each plugin.

Anyway, though I didn't try it, I think you could send a method from coreApp to one of the plugin through an input parameter, like shown in code of the app.component.ts

I've already done it by using Input like it is shown in your code; and it is working

My aim is having a plugin system , managed by coreapp. each plugin should have a plugin interface to interact with coreapp. Using such thing, the coreapp will describe the plugin API (=plugin interface). This could be in two way. One for the plugin to ask data of coreapp. On the other way, the coreapp could notify the plugin.
In my application, a plugin will ask data provided by coreapp; (a plugin is just a data display object; one could display data as text; another could display it as a chart,...)

I really think that using dependency injection on the PluginInterface could be a very nice way. And I think it is a better approach.

The plugin know only about the interface; and the coreapp instanciate it and share it with plugins by dependency injection. Finally coreapp and plugins will be coupled only by interface.
