which has no version 149

i tried to do this with 2 pcs. same result.

Same issue here, up to date official Chrome build is 149.0.7827.197, Chomedriver somehow expects 150

yep, i used google-chrome-beta adding propper path to config its version 150 for now in my repos

just download a newer chrome e.g.: https://storage.googleapis.com/chrome-for-testing-public/151.0.7922.3/win64/chrome-win64.zip
and add the chrome.exe path to chrome_driver.py

Yeah, it now works! The update was very recent so my chrome wasn't updating. It now seems to be working! Thanks!

Windows 11, python 3.14.5, installed chrome is 150.0.7871.187 (Official Build) (64-bit) and downloaded chrome is v151.0.7922.47

Do we just point to the downloaded chrome.exe without installing it? I've tried v151.0.7922.3, and the latest which is .7922.47, but I get the same error for both.

I added C:\Downloads\chrome-win64\chrome.exe which points to the downloaded version v151.0.7922.47 (my installed chrome is 150 and thinks that it is the most up-to-date version)

Chrome's official build finally moved to v151 so I was able to get past this point. It would be nice to be able to pick the previous ChromeDriver version instead, since having to use a beta version of chrome instead of the official build is a bit of a barrier.

Once it generated the list of trackers, the next step was a bit flaky (more 'urlopen error retrieval incomplete' messages), but after repeating it 5 or 6 times it worked, and the secrets.yaml was successfully generated. 👍
