The clock and the whole tray sometimes get out of the screen to the right

Bug description

Sometimes (IDK what causes it) the clock moves to the right out of the screen. In my case where the ":" moves to, there's supposed to be applet that minimizes all windows and shows the desktop. But it disappears along with half of the clock, as shown on the screenshot.

Unfortunately restarting cinnamon doesn't help, only a full system reboot and even that doesn't always help. The thing that SOMETIMES helps in restoring the clock is killing xapp and then do a system reboot.
But I'm still not sure if xapp is the cause or just a side effect.

Steps to reproduce

IDK what causes this problem, so I can't provide steps to reproduce. It happens at random intervals.

Expected behavior

The tray should always stay in the same place (the whole clock should always be visible).

I found a fix that always works when this happens and I think it's somehow related to the flickering someone else reported when changing keyboard layouts. When I press the combination to switch between input languages, the flickering appears but that flicker also instantly returns the whole tray back to its place.
