regression: caps lock configured as compose key no longer works

Hey.

Since ages I’ve configured my Caps Lock to act as Compose Key, done via Debian’s keyboard-configuration package, which sets:

XKBOPTIONS="compose:caps"

in /etc/default/keyboard.

Since upgrading today from cinnamon 6.4.13 to 6.6.7 that seems to be no longer respected and instead caps lock toggles the actual caps lock.

Any ideas? :-)

Did you try setting it in settings > keyboard > 'xkb options'

I did indeed... but looked only in "Caps Lock behaviour"… but it's under "Position of Compose Key".

Anyway, it was nice when this was automatically picked... so is this by intention that it no longer works... or do you think it could get make working again?
