Releases: marklogic/cloud-enablement-aws
12.0.1
Starting with MarkLogic 12.0.1, the Python version used by the AWS Lambda functions in the MarkLogic CloudFormation template has been updated from 3.9 to 3.13. Python 3.9 will be deprecated as of Dec 15, 2025. To update their Python versions, existing clusters created with MarkLogic CFT versions prior to MarkLogic 12.0.1 must have their Lambda functions patched or must be redeployed.
The supported instance types have been updated:
Support for additional instance families (m8a, m8i, m8i-flex, c8i, c8i-flex, r8i, r8i-flex)
11.3.3
11.3.3 release containing 11.3.3 Cloud Formation templates
10.0-11.1.1
10.0-11.1.1 Cloud Formation Templates address the upcoming Python 3.9 AWS runtime end-of-life (EOL) by upgrading the lambda functions runtime to version 3.13. This release also includes Lambda package upgrades to address security vulnerabilities.
11.3.2
Notice: As a precautionary measure we have retracted the 11.3.2 release while we investigate a customer report of a data replication issue following upgrade.
Starting with MarkLogic 11.3.2, the Python version used by the AWS Lambda functions in the MarkLogic CloudFormation template has been updated from 3.9 to 3.13. Python 3.9 will be deprecated as of Dec 15, 2025. To update their Python versions, existing clusters created with MarkLogic CFT versions prior to MarkLogic 11.3.2 must have their Lambda functions patched or must be redeployed.
For more information on directly patching the Lambda functions, see "Customers Who Prefer to Patch Their Existing MarkLogic CloudFormation Templates for New Cluster Deployments" in the KB article Mitigating Certifi and urllib3 Vulnerabilities
The MarkLogic 11.3.2 Cloud Formation Template also includes enhancements to the Node Manager Lambda function to better handle attachment of the secondary network interface hosts in the cluster.
The supported instance types have been updated:
Support for additional instance families (m7i, m7i-flex, m7a, c7i, c7i-flex, c7a, r7i, r7iz, r7a, i7ie, r8i, r8i-flex)
12.0.0
Starting with MarkLogic 12.0.0, the MarkLogic CloudFormation Template only supports Amazon Linux 2023. The OSType parameter, introduced in MarkLogic 11.3.1 (combined), is no longer supported in the MarkLogic 12.0.0 Cloud Formation Template.
The MarkLogic 12.0.0 Cloud Formation Template also includes enhancements to the Node Manager Lambda function to better handle attachment of the secondary network interface hosts in the cluster.
The supported instance types have been updated:
- GPU instance types have been removed
- Support for additional instance families (m7i, m7i-flex, m7a, c7i, c7i-flex, c7a, r7i, r7iz, r7a, i7ie)
10.0-11.1
10.0-11.1 release containing 10.0-11.1 Cloud Formation templates
11.3.1 (combined)
Starting with MarkLogic 11.3.1 (combined), the MarkLogic CloudFormation Template supports both Amazon Linux 2023 and Amazon Linux 2. Select the "AmazonLinux2023" value from "OSType" parameter to create MarkLogic cluster using the AL2023 AMI. The default value for the "OSType" parameter is "AmazonLinux2023".
MarkLogic on AL2023 does not support GPU devices. Any use of the embedded ONNX libraries will be executed using the host’s CPU. Support for GPUs on AL2023 is being investigated for a future release of MarkLogic Server.
