[question] How to write arbitrary text to the clipboard from a plugin?

Is it possible to write a text to the clipboard from a plugin? Could someone share a code snippet for that? Thanks.

I made a plugin for this: https://github.com/jabbalaci/micro-plugins/tree/main/copyPathToClipboard . For writing to the clipboard, I called the Linux command xsel. If it can be done in a better way, please let me know.
