Screensaver on idle

Hi,

I like the concept of the app.
Do you plan on adding a screensaver mode when the app is idle?
That is, navigating to another (screensaver) URL when the user did not do any actions for some time (and potentially reducing screen brightness in that mode), and then navigating back to the default URL when the user touches the screen.

I think that would be quite useful.

Is there a reason you want use another URL instead of, for example, a black background/image? Navigating the webview could lose existing states.

What would also be cool on that end would be to have more control over the device from the website itself.
Like a JS way of setting brightness or other settings directly from the website. Then I could just write a kiosk website with iframes etc. that controls features of the kiosk device and create a screensaver with low brightness myself from HTML/JS.

There's a JS Script setting that lets you inject custom javascript code when the page starts or end - perhaps that could satisfy your use case?

In the script, you can detect the current page, perform navigation, or set brightness at the JS/CSS level.

I'm hesitant to allow app/device access via page JS though, for security reasons. However, there's plan for MQTT support in v0.25.0, which will allow for automation via an MQTT broker (e.g. home assistant + mosquitto, EMQX or HiveMQ). Please feel free to join the discussion here:

Where a Brightness API is exposed for you (disabled in app by default), which will allow you to get/set brightness.

You can now control the app's brightness yourself via JavaScript in your web page.
