Errno 30 read-only file system on /tmp in BTRFS

Ever since I migrated from EXT4 to BTRFS on the same Arch-based distro, I've started having problems with certain appimages.
The appimage unpacks and mounts on /tmp (tmpfs mounted on /tmp)
[Mount] What=tmpfs Where=/tmp Type=tmpfs Options=defaults,noatime,mode=1777
and the appimage runs, but it will show Errno 30 read-only file system on /tmp when trying to do certain actions involving creating files on the mount point.

All those apps were working fine before migration from Ext4 to BTRFS.

What am I missing here?

Are you trying to write anything inside /tmp/.mount_*?

well not me, the appimage. tries to write something into /tmp before actually placing it to the specified download directory

Inside /tmp/.mount_* or elsewhere in /tmp/? Only the latter should work.

(The AppImage does not "unpack" anything; it just mounts itself read-only to the (randomized) mountpoint within /tmp.)

Hi! Thanks for the ping. That might be ytdlp misbehaving placing a file where it shouldn't. I'll spin up a VM and try to replicate it. As far as I can see this isn't an AppImage issue though!
