Research task management migration to Jira

As this repository is just a one part of so called "Prime" project fleet, it becomes harder to manage my work from separate GitHub issue places. I have no overview on my overall tasks. I have no sprints, etc.
So i need to see what Jira can offer to me.

I see the point of Trunk Based Development and its benefits in the long run, but i am not quite sure how to align that with the Scrum methodology. Like... if i have a Sprint X-1, then how do i do the smart commits? If i don't do the feature branch X-1, then what do i do? I just don't map the PRs with the Sprints?
