Running anonymous blocks with snow sql

Is it possible to run anonymous code blocks using snow sql -f <file> ?
I'm under impression it splits the whole input file by ; and tries to executes each part which makes no sense....

e.g.:

SHOW USERS LIKE 'FOO_%';
DECLARE
  c1 CURSOR FOR SELECT "name" AS name FROM TABLE(RESULT_SCAN(LAST_QUERY_ID()));
BEGIN
  FOR record IN c1
  LOOP
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER USER ' || record.name || ' SET TYPE=LEGACY_SERVICE';
  END LOOP;
END;

results in, executing the first SHOW query and then :

DECLARE
    c1 CURSOR FOR SELECT "name" AS name FROM TABLE(RESULT_SCAN(LAST_QUERY_ID()));

Have you tried using the advice found here? I suspect that the $$ is your friend.
