Barycentric Mapping Documentation

I'm currently working on some modifications to the Barycentric Mapping code. While reading it, few parts that could be clearer to me. Could you please direct me to any related documentation on Barycentric Mapping?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I poke the last ones to investigate it @fredroy @alxbilger do you see anything about this? I would be glad to write a doc about it

The idea of the barycentric mapping is not that complicated. But the implementation in SOFA is. It has to support all kind of topologies, all kind of DoF types, and topological changes. It makes it very complex. So much complex that I never focused on it. It seems to do the job, and I am not aware of any malfunction. It's probably for this reason the component stays in this state. What are exactly your suggestions?
