Sounds like your library does not offer (enough?) free articles – maybe a per account or per month limit? Ask them! |

What am I supposed to ask them? I doubt they know about BibBot, right? I read on BibBot it allows to read paywalled articles using any of the listed library cards, so I bought one from the local library, but I never used that library before, I got it just for BibBot. Since that article is linked in the BibBot settings as demo, it ought to work, no? If I go to the library's homepage, I don't find that article in their page in the search if I search for the title, however, I also don't know how their system relates to that Genios thing the extension opens. It's not clear to me how Genios is supposed to use my library card, when I go to Genios' login it asks for its own email/password credentials and not my library's... Can you please enlighten me how these things are supposed to work together correctly? The BibBot docs make it sound as if I just need to buy the library card and enter the library credentials, but apparently it's not that simple... I'm lost. |

Hi,
I configured the library credentials in the extension and then tried to use the paywall test link with the "Soziale Ungerechtigkeit" article.
However, BibBot shows that the article wasn't found. If I look at the background tab though, I see it was found but requires additional payment of €4! What is the point of having BibBot and paying for the library card if then every article has another paywall from Genios? I must be doing something wrong, can you help me?
Note: This is on Chrome, I installed the latest v0.40.5 release by dragging the ZIP file onto the extension page since the Chrome Store link is dead.
