Mobile menu displaying across the entire screen once opened

Hi,
regarding Astroid 3.2.x, is the mobile menu (hamburger) displaying across the entire screen once opened an intentional design choice?
While it's acceptable on a smartphone, it becomes quite visually jarring on a tablet display (I'm thinking, for example, of the iPad Pro but also on a iPad Air).
Honestly, if this is the intended behavior, I preferred the Astroid 3.1.2 display which was more subtle.

...it seems there are still some Joomla Bootstrap CSS rules that override the framework rules... and always only on the home page (see other issue)
