Hi UTM team,
I'm evaluating UTM 4.7.4 (QEMU 10.0.2) on an Apple M2 MacBook Pro with 8 GB RAM running macOS 12.7.6 (21H1320).
The intended guest is Debian 12 ARM64, console-only, using Apple Silicon hardware virtualization where supported.
Before installing or configuring anything, I want to confirm whether this exact host/release/guest combination is supported.
Specifically:
This is for a controlled, disposable Linux test environment. I'm not asking for support for the application that will eventually run inside the guest; I only need to establish host/release/guest compatibility and the supported virtualization backend.
If this exact combination isn't officially supported or tested, that answer is useful too—I don't want to infer compatibility from general Apple Silicon support.
Thank you.
