I installed this extension to be able auto logout/lock the thunderbird client after the specified amount of time in case I forget to do it myself on my shared computer.
Auto lock tab settings seems to do the job just fine.
But I am confussed what is the purpose of the auto-logout? It does not seem to do anything at all. Apparantely it logs out something that is called "Master Security Device (MSD)" but what is it?
- When I "logout" by this setting, I can still open my minimised thunderbird window and use it without requiring to enter the master password.
- I have no other add-ons installed that may conflict with it (I had Firetray but I disabled it for testing purposes).
