Problem

Version 6.57.0 has a critical regression that causes intermittent failures when running Terraform against AWS (e.g. EC2 DescribeSubnets / DescribeAddresses, Secrets Manager GetSecretValue). Errors include InvalidHttpRequest: Unable to parse request and SerializationException: UnknownError. Failures are non-deterministic.

HashiCorp fixed this in 6.57.1:
