What happened instead:

This code in the main repo branch is undergoing a big shakeup to bring it in line with recent standards and to merge and test the backlog of PRs I have left for too long. Please use the v4.3.0 tag for stable version while this process happens. https://github.com/wp-bootstrap/wp-bootstrap-navwalker/releases/tag/v4.3.0

All I want to know, is if said major shakeup is coming or rather less, and how the plans are for future bootstrap supports (v5+++)

Also interested in the future of this repo. I still use BS3 and 4 but maybe the NavWalker is obsolete with 5+? Updated on Mar 16, 2023 is the latest for this repo. But I am imagining that Flex and Grid containers provide the support that is needed for "Walkers" in new CSS.

So at least this repo is around if ever needed. I have been building ClassicPress themes and BS4 is perfect for menus. I am using my stripped down version https://github.com/tradesouthwest/bootstrap-three-reduced But only for older themes. Flex/Grid seem to be the future. No more floats is where it is at.
