PS2 Games not working #340

Some PS2 games don't work unfortunately. I can't tell how many of them but 3 out of 3 that I tried didn't work.

To be more specific: they download fine (although it takes ages), but they can't be launched.
I'm using RetroArch with LRPS2 as external launcher and this is the relevant RetroArch log:

[libretro ERROR] CDVD: chd_open return error: decompression error

I tried to do some debugging. Here is the result for 2 games that don't work:

user@host:~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.iagl/game_cache/Sony PlayStation 2$ file Devil\ May\ Cry\ \(Europe\)\ \(En\,Fr\,De\,Es\,It\).chd
Devil May Cry (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It).chd: MAME CHD compressed hard disk image, version 5
user@host:~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.iagl/game_cache/Sony PlayStation 2$ chdman info -i Devil\ May\ Cry\ \(Europe\)\ \(En\,Fr\,De\,Es\,It\).chd
chdman - MAME Compressed Hunks of Data (CHD) manager 0.275 (unknown)
Error opening CHD file (Devil May Cry (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It).chd): Input/output error

Tekken 4 (Europe, Australia) (En,Fr,De,Es,It) (v2.00).chd: MAME CHD compressed hard disk image, version 5

From my understanding this means that the CHD archives are corrupt and there's no way to fix them.
I tried manually downloading one of the games (Tekken 4) from another source than archive.org, converted the ISO to CHD myself, and replaced the broken CHD, and it works fine.

Links to some ROMs that are certainly broken fished from the IAGL DB:

Please let me know if I can help or provide more details.
