Offline-first navigation — rider-first, built for Indian roads.
No account. No tracking. No network required to navigate. Just maps, routing, and turn-by-turn that work when you're off the grid — with a simple, dark, glove-friendly UI made for riding.
Status: early development.
docs/SPEC.md— vision, architecture (open-core), build plan.docs/PLAYBOOK.md— hard-won knowledge, reference data, reuse map, gotchas, debugging.
General offline nav is crowded, but nobody serves riders + offline + India + FOSS well. OpenTrail is the clean, beautiful, offline nav made for that: ride-mode routing, offline OSM maps, on-device routing, no cloud.
- Kotlin, Jetpack Compose (Material 3), Hilt, Room
- Map: MapLibre GL (offline PMTiles, OpenStreetMap)
- Routing: on-device Valhalla
- Search: Photon (keyless)
- Traffic (optional): TomTom flow overlay — bring your own free key
