Hi there, I have checked https://github.com/snyk/parlay/ and it currently has197 stars and 32 forks.

Criteria

  • Non-GUI tool
  • Reasonably well-known and widely used (e.g. if it's a GitHub project, it should have at least 500 stars and/or 150 forks)
  • English interface (or at least English documentation)
  • Latest stable version
  • Full version (i.e. not a trial version)
  • Fairly standard install (e.g. uses a version-specific download URL, no elaborate pre/post install scripts)****

@Lutra-Fs GitHub stars aren't a good measure for popularity or usage, this well known in the industry. AFAIK this criteria is a starting point that can be mitigated by various other criteria; such as the owner (in this case Snyk who are a large vendor) or other signals such as downloads (in this case 346,985 directly from GitHub over 2 years).

I can't independently verify the download count (346,985 from GitHub over 2 years), but if Snyk is reporting that statistic, it is a strong signal of real-world usage, regardless of the star count.
