I'm David, a Pipeline Tools Engineer and Technical Director based in Los Angeles, with 8+ years building production software for film, virtual production, and interactive media. Most recently at Halon Entertainment, where I spent nearly a decade supporting Fortnite cinematics, virtual productions, and cross-studio pipelines — writing Python tools, building render farm infrastructure, and shipping engineering solutions across 11 major productions.
My work lives at the intersection of engineering and creative production: Python tooling, PySide/PyQt UI development, Houdini, Unreal Engine, HLSL shaders, AWS Deadline, Docker, and pipeline automation.
When I'm not building tools I'm working on Winds of Almerra — my personal RPG passion project.
