I had some difficulty with getting drag and drop to work in 3d and couldn't find an example that made it clear to me, so after working it out I created a 3d variation of the existing drag_and_drop example. I'm not sure how much sense the spinning makes in this context, maybe it could be replaced with something more interesting.
