- Initial => Depend on individual effort. Chaos
- Disciplined => Elementary project management. Cost , delays and functionality control
- Adjusted => Documented management and engineering activities. Integrated in software process
- Quantitative management => Detailed and measured process. Quality is a metric
- Optimisation => Continuous improvement of the process. Reactions on a process
- Negligent => All problems are perceived as technical
- Obstructive => Rigidity of the process. Counterproductive
