"All models are wrong, but some are useful." โ George E. P. Box
I work at the intersection of earth science and software engineering. By day, I handle geophysics and geodetic data processing for earthquake research and fault monitoring. By necessity (and curiosity), I build software to automate legacy scientific workflows, design headless processing pipelines, and develop full-stack web applications.
I prefer minimalist, low-cognitive-load architecture. I don't build for the sake of flexing complex tech stacks; I build to make impossible or tedious projects tractable.
- Languages: Python, TypeScript, SQL, Bash, Vanilla JS
- Architecture: Next.js, Astro, React/Vite, PostgreSQL, NeonDB
- Backend & Automation: Celery, Redis, Docker, Agentic AI Workflows, FastAPI
- Domain Expertise: GNSS Processing, Spatial Geohazards, Heuristic Engines, Constraint Solving
- MOVE Faults: The flagship GNSS automation monorepo. Replaces decades of fragmented scripts with a Celery-backed distributed task queue, real-time NMEA TCP streaming, and an offline-capable React field app.
- EIL Hazard Suite: A decoupled geohazard system featuring EIL-Calc (a headless spatial processing engine for landslide susceptibility) and EIL-Viz (a React-based visualizer for ground-truth validation).
- PHAST: A Chrome Extension command center that injects professional GIS controls into Leaflet maps and dynamically generates official hazard text for PHIVOLCS assessments.
- SIPAT: An open-source CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) alternative to enterprise tools like SurveyToGo. Designed for field researchers, it features offline-first data collection, complex survey logic, and automated audio transcription workflows.
- YAKAP-Link: A civic tech proof-of-concept built to address supply chain and dispensing bottlenecks in the PhilHealth YAKAP program. Engineered with strict transaction constraints and dispensing guard logic to mitigate phantom claims and ensure medicine availability.
- pipetgo: A B2B laboratory marketplace MVP connecting businesses with ISO-certified testing labs. Features complex, multi-tiered pricing and role-based authorization workflows.
- Homebase: A multi-tenant management system featuring a custom heuristics engine that analyzes temporal data to predict task urgency and budget forecasting.
- UGT (Chaotic Circuits): A modern Python/LaTeX reconstruction of my 2004 physics undergraduate thesis, featuring numerical solvers for Lyapunov Exponents in chaotic Sprott circuits.
- WindowCards: A zero-dependency Vanilla JS constraint-solving engine built for a local elementary school. It dynamically generates printable/digital math problem grids with strict operational constraints, designed specifically to support classrooms with limited device access.
- ArtPortfolio: A high-performance, statically generated Astro CMS built over a weekend to upgrade my daughter's digital art commission site. Designed specifically for minimal cognitive load and fast asset delivery.
