Thank you @savagejen I just compiled it in my macbook, was awesome to build it after so many years and to see it running :) I'm reviewing your changes that appear to be all good, removing the comments you left about the warnings and to make me aware of what you changed (thanks), and merging everything back.

Thanks! I am looking into how to make xcode play nicely with autotools so that we won't have to include that makefile, but I will have to do that later as right now I am busy with job-hunt stuff.

@savagejen cool :) no rush at all... it waited years, can wait a few weeks more ;) a lot of work to do here as well, but it's cool to see it working on osx.

Well I am willing to help keep the project moving forward, even if slowly. I've been wanting to do more open source work and playing with the hping code was awesome.
