Scope
FT_OAK-12290to Segment Tar'sSegmentCacheandRecordCache. Both default to ASYNC; disabling the toggle selects SYNC for newly created caches. Existing caches retain their mode until recreated, and other bundles remain independent.Remove the obsolete shared toggle fields and tests. Keep the internal cache API export at 2.0.0. The OSGi test covers disabling the toggle, retaining SYNC across service reactivation, and re-enabling ASYNC for new caches.
Validation with Java 17: 23 Core maintenance cases and 45 Segment cache/service cases (one existing skip) passed. A mutation check confirmed that existing behavioral tests reject an incorrect ASYNC mapping.
