If I select premade configurations with URL on your domain, CORS is not an issue, geometry loads after a while. I do notice some error messages in console first:

Oh! It is actually has to work now. Works for me. So if it is not working, please, write about your system and browser version.

There is a caveat though. You have to use links with https://seeeic.org/g e.g. https://seeeic.org/g/epic/artifacts/tgeo/epic_craterlake.root

https://seeeic.org/g is a proxy alias to https://github.com/eic. Firefox browser forbids java to download data from different domains resulting in CORS errors. So to fix loading real geometry for Firefox we had to setup this proxy. The file names in the configuration drop downs are changed to the correct links. So it should be working...

Displays properly in Chrome on the same laptop (takes a while to load, but that's expected).

Could you check your configs (open Configure) that geometry links you are trying to load start with https://seeeic.org/g/ and not github.com ? You can just select one of the "example" configurations. If files start with seeeic.org, could you provide the logs (open console with F12 and reload the page, so all logs are shown)

Okay, I've updated the geometry file from the default one to the proxied one and it works now. Can you set the proxied version as a default geometry in the EVD config so it works for everyone with no client changes? Thanks!

They are set as default. But the defaults are overwritten with what is saved in the browser, so I guess that is what happened.

Ideally, one can use the Octokit library to fetch files (and a list of available files too) from GitHub - it handles CORS properly, no need for aliases or redirects, no need to preconfigure the list or save it on the client side.
