Hi Eric,
Here is a proposal for a patch.
This patch allows the administrator to choose an an alternative gitolite config file.
Then the original conf/gitolite.conf file can be preserved, and changed to include the generated gitolite conf generated by the plugin.
This allow to keep legacy repo definitions, and finer configuration of the repos using the usual way..
I am a bit a novice in Ruby, so I hope my changes are not too bad.. :-)
